Sector building is about supporting a service system that reflects the community in which it operates. QCOSS is committed to working in partnership with the community services sector in Queensland to deliver innovative, sustainable and more targeted services to better respond to the needs of their communities – particularly in the rural and remote areas of Queensland.
We endeavour to use our knowledge, skills and resources to help build the capacity of community organisations to deliver on their vision and mission and ensure the experience and expertise of the sector is built into our shared policy and advocacy work.
Community Door is a resource and information hub for Queensland’s community services sector delivering up-to-date news, information, grants and resources to support the sector in its work.
QCOSS is committed to supporting the community sector with the skills, practice and tools needed to deliver human rights-respecting services, which will deliver improved outcomes.
The Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) is a system for assessing and promoting improvement in the quality of human services delivery. We provide a range of direct sector supports.
QCOSS takes pride in partnering with communities across Queensland to teach, support and promote place-based approaches in tackling entrenched social issues.
To enhance best practice within the sector in relation to quality systems, QCOSS regularly convenes the Quality Collaboration Network.
