Australian Government – National Women’s Alliances

Closing date: 3 July 2024
Region: Australia wide

The National Women’s Alliances grant opportunity is being provided by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Up to $10.88 million is available from December 2024 to June 2029 to establish a network of up to 6 civil society organisations to provide expert gender advice to Government and ensure women’s voices inform the implementation of the Working for Women: A Strategy for Gender Equality.

Applications are now open and close 5:00pm AEST on Wednesday 3 July 2024.

Townsville City Council Social Grants and Partnerships

Community Grants create mutually beneficial agreements with local Not-for-profit or Auspiced Organisations to support the delivery of community outcomes for Townsville.

This program is focused on enabling successful activities through the provision of one-off funding.

Community Grants are most suited to community organisations that seek funding and/or in-kind support to conduct activities which align with the public interest and improve the quality of life for residents of Townsville.

Applications are open throughout the year and close 1 May annually.

Logan City Council Community Response Grants

Region: Logan

This funding provides financial support to organisations to respond to community priorities. The initiatives delivered should add to the social and community development of the city.

Grants are open for organisations to address community priorities that:

  • build an engaged and inclusive community
  • promote increased participation in community life
  • support the community to shape or make change in their local area and / or
  • increase skills, knowledge and leadership capability within the community sector.

Queensland Governmennt Small Business Support Pool

Region: Queensland wide

Under the revitalised Back to Work program, there is a stronger focus on supporting employers to keep or retain their employees on a long-term and ongoing basis. The Small Business Support Pool provides financial support to small businesses that need assistance in retaining employees supported through the Back to Work Incentive Payments.

Eligible businesses can access a payment of up to $2,000 to support the retention of a Back to Work supported employee.

Queensland Government – Back to Work’s Small Business Support Pool

Finding it difficult to employ long-term employees for your business? Up to $2,000 in funding is available through the Small Business Support Pool to support the retention of an existing Back to Work supported employee. This funding can be used for a range of activities supporting retention including training, digital upgrades, mentoring and workforce development.

Sisters of Charity Foundation Community Grants

Region: Australia wide

The Sisters of Charity Foundation provides grants of up to $15,000 to community projects and programs that break down social isolation and alleviate the impact of poverty on individuals and families.

These grants are aimed at helping groups who make a huge difference to those in need, but struggle to find funding through other avenues. They may be ineligible for government assistance, or be too small or lacking the right market appeal to attract the attention of larger organisations, but their causes are no less worthy and their needs are no less real.

Queensland Government – Community Housing Futures Program

Applications are now open for grants of up to $50,000 to help Queensland’s community housing sector to deliver more social and affordable housing

The grants will cover the cost of specialist advice and services to eligible Community Housing Providers supporting them to build capability to deliver more housing solutions across Queensland

The grants are part of Community Housing Futures, a capacity building initiative for the community housing sector being delivered by peak bodies Q Shelter, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Queensland, and the Community Housing Industry Association of Queensland, in partnership with the Queensland Government.

Community Housing Futures offers access to specialist advice, tools and training to help Community Housing Providers to grow and manage larger portfolios of social and affordable housing. This includes supporting Community Housing Providers applying for funding support under the Housing Investment Fund.

Queensland Government Bond Loans and Rental Grants

Bond Loan

A Bond Loan is an interest-free and fee-free loan to cover the rental bond when you move into private rental accommodation. The loan amount is a maximum of 4 weeks rent and must be repaid.

Bond loans are available to eligible people only. Check your eligibility.

Bond loans are automatically approved for people experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence who have provided information about their circumstances.

Bond Loan Plus

Bond Loan Plus is an interest-free and fee-free loan to cover the rental bond plus an amount equal to 2 weeks rent for the property you want to rent. The loan amount is a maximum of 6 weeks rent and must be repaid.

Rental Grant

A Rental Grant is a one-off grant of 2 weeks rent to support people in housing crisis move into private rental accommodation. Rental Grants are available to eligible people only. Check your eligibility.
