Job Description
The Women and Girls’ Health Hub is funded by Queensland Health to offer services to all women and girls with a focus on priority communities of women and girls who experience worse long-term health outcomes than the general population, due to significant barriers that impact these communities such as lack of culturally safe and appropriate health care. The Hub will offer a mix of medical, nursing, counselling, and social services. True Relationships and Reproductive Health and Women’s Health and Equality Queensland will also be offering services from the Hub.
The Women and Girls Health Hub Lead will oversee the establishment and operation of the Women and Girls Health Hub in Caboolture. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, ensuring service delivery, maintaining accreditation, and promoting a culture of respect, safety, and trauma-informed care.
This is a permanent full time employment opportunity with salary to be determined based on experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment and daily operations of the Women and Girls Health Hub.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner to ensure service delivery and accreditation.
- Develop and manage a schedule for visiting services and partners.
- Promote the Hub within the local community and to external stakeholders.
- Establish a Women and Girls Health and Wellbeing Local Network and a consumer advisory group.
- Participate in clinical governance committees and ensure compliance with RACGP standards.
- Foster a supportive and culturally safe environment for staff and participants.
- Manage workload and support team wellbeing and resilience.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant certificate, diploma, or tertiary qualification in community services or extensive experience.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to cultural diversity and non-discrimination.
- Ability to work flexibly, adaptively, and proactively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of IT systems, including case management and data collection.
- Commitment to child and vulnerable adult safeguarding principles.
