 Job Description

The Supportive Housing – Hope Street team operates at Brisbane Common Ground, where both the building design and the support services aim to foster empowerment and independence for tenants. Our approach is grounded in the Housing First model, focusing on providing stable, permanent housing with integrated support to help people maintain their tenancies.

We are seeking a dedicated Tenant Support Worker to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will provide essential support to tenants of Brisbane Common Ground, helping to enhance their well-being and independence.

This is a permanent part time (30.4hrs per week) employment opportunity with conditions and salary at Level 2 of the SCHADS Award.

 Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide high-quality support services to tenants.
  • Assist tenants in maintaining their housing and improving their overall well-being.
  • Uphold child and vulnerable adult safeguarding principles.
  • Effectively use IT systems and case management tools.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and case management.
  • Previous experience or education in the social and community services sector is an advantage.

Working Hours: This role will require you to work on a rotating 24-hour roster. Shifts will rotate fortnightly and include:

  • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
