Australian Government – Indigenous Languages and Arts – Open Competitive Grant Opportunity
The ILA Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians to express, preserve and maintain their cultures through Indigenous languages and arts activities.
Grant funding allocated through the ILA program supports activities that: conserve, revitalise and sustain Indigenous languages, and create, promote and celebrate Indigenous cultural expression.
Mercy Foundation Grants to End Homelessness
The Mercy Foundation Grants to End Homelessness are available for seeding initiatives, services, projects, advocacy and research that will contribute to the goal of ending homelessness by supporting permanent housing, housing first and supportive housing solutions.
This year, the focus of the grants program is ending homelessness for women from migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds. Note that the Mercy Foundation has a special interest in ending homelessness for older women.
Expressions of Interest will be due in by Friday, 29 November 2024. Mercy strongly advise that you call at least 2 weeks prior to this date to discuss your project before submitting your EOI.
MediaCast Pro Bono For Purpose PR grants
The MediaCast ‘Pro Bono for Purpose’ grants will be awarded to the value of $5,000 and $10,000 and can be used as the full value of a campaign or part value of a larger campaign.
MediaCast will work with you on the best use of budget and to ensure your messaging reaches as many Australians as possible. So if you are a not-for-profit or charity with a mission to make a change, MediaCast encourage you to apply today.
Queensland Government – Gambling Community Benefit Fund
Community groups are encouraged to apply for Round 122 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), which helps these groups to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.
Round 122 offers $35,000 grants and is the final funding round for 2024.
The closing date is 30 November 2024.
Queensland Government – Gambling Community Benefit Fund
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) is Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program and distributes approximately $60 million each year to not-for-profit community groups. The GCBF funding helps these groups to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.
Round 122 is open now – $35,000 standard grant round, closing 30 November.

Australian Government – Financial Wellbeing grants
These financial wellbeing funding opportunities are provided by the federal Department of Social Services.
- Emergency Relief (closing Monday, 2 December)
The Emergency Relief program provides immediate financial or material aid to eligible people in financial stress or hardship and who have limited means or resources to help them alleviate their financial crisis. - Food Relief (closing Monday, 2 December)
The Food Relief program aims to increase Commonwealth-funded Emergency Relief providers’ access to a cost-effective supply of food and material aid, for provision to eligible clients experiencing financial crisis. - Financial Counselling for Gambling (closing Monday, 2 December)
Financial Counselling for Gambling services provide specialised Commonwealth Financial Counselling services in targeted locations to support eligible people experiencing financial stress or hardship as a result of gambling harm. - Commonwealth Financial Counselling and Financial Capability (closing Monday, 2 December)
The Commonwealth Financial Counselling and Financial Capability program provides free, confidential and non-judgmental financial counselling and financial capability services, including information, advice and advocacy to eligible people experiencing financial difficulty. - Financial Wellbeing Hubs (closing Monday, 9 December)
Financial Wellbeing Hubs provide integrated, co-located financial wellbeing services, including financial counselling, financial capability and emergency relief services, and access to microfinance products, with a focus on supporting people to increase their financial literacy and longer-term resilience.
Queensland Gives – 2024 General Fund
The General Fund grant program supports organisational capacity building of mid-tier organisations with projects that strengthen community by focussing on, but not limited to, Youth, Women and Families at Risk.
Grants are available up to a maximum of $30,000 per individual grant.
Queensland Gives – Regional Grant-Making
The Queensland Gives regional grants program aims to support eligible charitable organisations providing services in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and Darling Downs region and Northern Queensland. Charities and causes supported may fit within, but are not limited to community wellbeing, health, arts and culture, animal welfare, children and youth, education, environment, medical research, indigenous and religion. Please check individual regional grant guidelines for grant criteria.
Applications for grants in one of Queensland Gives’s four regional areas are now closed. Organisations are invited to check their eligibility and apply for organisational capacity through the General Fund Grants.
Queensland Gives – The Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust
The Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust is a QCF sub-fund established by the Queensland Government.
Grants from the sub-fund, promote the interests and welfare of residents of the Gulf Area Community by supporting projects and initiatives that encourage educational, health, cultural and social development.
Proposed projects must service the communities of Burke Shire Council, Carpentaria Shire Council, Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council and Mornington Shire Council.

eSafety Commissioner – Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women Grants Program
The Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women Grants Program aims to improve the safety of Australian women and their children through the prevention of technology-facilitated gender-based violence. The program forms part of the Government’s commitment to the aims and objectives of the National Plan to end violence against women and children 2022-32.
A total of $10 million in grant funding will be available from 2023 to 2028. Grants of between $80,000 and $400,000 will be awarded over a minimum of three open, competitive processes.
