Skilling Queenslanders for Work: Tender Writing Workshop - Toowoomba

An interactive workshop for those wanting to hone their application writing skills, focused on the Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) round opening 29 July through the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT).

Funding bodies are looking for particular details in SQW application and successful applicants will need to abide by Queensland’s Human Rights Act (2019) and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. Both new and experienced grant writers are encouraged to bring their SQW project ideas to this workshop, where they will:

  • Receive tools and support to improve their project planning and application responses
  • Learn about common application mistakes and how to avoid them
  • Hear what SQW assessors are looking for and how to show their ability to deliver
  • Have the opportunity to discuss their plans and applications with one of DESBT Darling Downs/South West Queensland's SQW officers

Participants will also receive hard copy and electronic resources to support their applications.

Afternoon tea is included.

Who should attend? Program staff and managers of community services or other eligible organisations who intend to apply for SQW funding.
