Queensland is in the grip of housing crisis, with over 150,000 households facing unmet housing needs.

Homelessness in Brisbane has grown 14% in past four years, the highest rate for any Australian capital city, and regional Queensland now the least affordable regional area in Australia.

Join us for a conversation with Professor Hal Pawson, Associate Director at the City Futures Research Centre, UNSW. Hal’s team have recently completed a report titled A Blueprint to Tackle Queensland’s Housing Crisis, this report includes:

  • a detailed literature review and statistical analysis of housing need throughout the state;
  • data outlining particular regional housing needs; and
  • policy solutions to resolve Queensland’s housing crisis.

Join us online to hear Hal discuss his findings, as he outlines a path forward which delivers affordable and sustainable housing to all Queenslanders.
