Cross-cultural Evaluation and Accountability

Registration is closed for this event
Community service staff with an interest in research and evaluation are encouraged to join QCOSS for this Research and Evaluation Network webinar, which will focus on cross-cultural evaluation and accountability in the nonprofit context.

The session will cover some of the ways community organisations can be more accountable to beneficiaries and clients for the work they do.

Join us for a one-hour session with Jill Lovell, Seasonal Academic, Faculty of Business and Law, Queensland University of Technology. Jill will unpack findings and lessons from their thesis, which used comparative case studies of two community organisations working with multicultural communities, refugees, international students, migrants and people seeking asylum.

The session will focus on:

  • defining accountability in the not-for-profit sector
  • qualitative research methodologies used for the study
  • dimensions of power and culture, and some of the barriers and enablers of beneficiary accountability and
  • practical steps for engaging in culturally responsive accountability to beneficiaries and clients.
