Courageous Conversations

Leaders regularly need to have challenging conversations – when supervising employees, discussing sensitive issues, managing conflict, and more. In this half-day workshop we will provide a framework for understanding and navigating courageous conversations, including:

  • Tailoring your language and approach to shift conversations from difficult to purposeful
  • The "three conversations" principle
  • A conversation process that moves from centring and planning through inquiry and acknowledgement to advocacy and problem-solving

This session will be facilitated by Amy Wormwell of Work Within. Amy has dedicated over 26 years to the community sector and has extensive expertise in counselling, group work and leadership. She has worked in government and not-for-profit sectors, with an eclectic experience in domestic and family violence, child protection, mental health support and women’s specialist services.

A light lunch will be provided.

Attending these Community of Practice sessions can contribute to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points. We encourage you to check with your relevant professional association regarding how many points this activity can equate to.
