Community Data Profiles
These Community Data Profiles provide an overview of selected indicators that align with the QCOSS policy focus areas of: Housing, Youth Justice, Living Affordability, Women’s Equality, Children and Young People and Community Services.
The data relates to communities involved in QCOSS Town Hall events held through from April-June 2024, in the following locations: Toowoomba, Logan, Gympie, Townsville, Rockhampton, Brisbane, Mount Isa, Mackay, Moreton Bay, Gladstone and Cairns. Data profiles are made available for other additional Local Government Areas and areas of interest, informed by feedback received from community services. Data is presented at a localised level where possible, dependant on data availability and access.
Data profiles are made available for the sector to access and use for the purpose of service planning, research, and informing the evidence base for policy and grant writing applications. The profiles should be used to complement additional existing datasets identified by community organisations at the local level, in addition to organisation data assets that community organisations themselves collect and analyse.
Data included in the profiles are considered current at the time the profiles were created (as of April 2024). QCOSS’ Research and Policy team can be contacted to provide access to updated data over time. Alternatively, new data can be extracted directly from accessing the data sources referenced within the profiles.
QCOSS has prepared these dashboards for the purpose of disseminating information for the benefit of the Queensland community services sector. Although significant effort has been taken to ensure the accuracy of this information, QCOSS cannot guarantee, and accepts no legal liability arising from, or connected to, the use of any information contained in these dashboards.
