YFS Connect Worker (Intake and Assessment) Housing Specialist
Full Time fixed term until end of July 2018 with the possibility of extension
(plus superannuation and salary sacrifice options available)
We are seeking to appoint an experienced housing worker in a busy service environment. This position is office based. The successful applicant will be versatile, robust, agile and able to work in a team environment.
The successful applicant will :
- Have a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the housing and homelessness service system in the context of Logan and surrounds.
- Be proficient and confident to provide triage, assessment and information and referral services with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds
- Have a collaborative approach to ensure enquirers experiencing or at risk of homelessness get an excellent service response from the Connect team, and that clients are actively involved in the response
- Have sufficient keyboard skills to prepare documents (e.g. letters and excel budgets) with clients, during sessions.
