Yarn Up Tok Blo Yumi is a two day cultural capability program that supports participants to reflect deeply on their practice and challenge their world views and assumptions. It focusses on history, cultural safety, communication, relationships and partnerships. The program fosters a genuine appreciation for, and understanding of the significance of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, country, history and culture.
Our co-delivery of Yarn Up Tok Blo Yumi with local Elders and community leaders ensures an authentic learning experience as well as providing an opportunity to establish ongoing relationships. The success of the program lies in the conversational delivery approach and the structures that support people to have open and meaningful conversations and to continue to build their knowledge and understanding through engaging in reflective practice.
