Transport concessions for job seekers and asylum seekers

New public transport concessions have been introduced across Queensland from today, Monday 3 April 2017.

The concession for 50% off adult fares applies to all TransLink public transport services  (excluding Airtrain, Traveltrain and tourist rail services), regional qconnect bus services and approved regional ferry services.

To access the new concessions, job seekers and asylum seekers will be required to meet certain eligibility requirements and follow an application process. Information about eligibility requirements and the application process is available on the TransLink website.

To support the introduction of the new concessions, TransLink will be undertaking a targeted education campaign with both customers and key stakeholder groups, including job seeker and asylum seeker support agencies.
