A fantastic career opportunity has become available with Council for a temporary full time Counsellor who has qualifications and experience in providing counselling to families, children and young people.


In this position you will be responsible for providing strengths-based counselling and support services for families within a strengths based and client focussed framework in a professional, ethical, efficient and confidential manner ensuring the development of good working relationships with all staff, customers and the public.


Located in Yeppoon on the Central Queensland coast, Livingstone Shire Council employs around 390 people and provides a wide range of services to the community. Livingstone Shire Council is friendly, focussed on customer service and committed to the region.

To excel in this role, you will:

•              Have a relevant tertiary degree within the social or behavioural sciences and experience providing counselling to families, children and young people;

•              Possess a positive notice blue card for working with young people; and

•              Possess a current  motor vehicle drivers licence.



•              QLGIA (Stream A) Level 5;

•              9 day fortnight;

•              Generous superannuation.
