What's it all about?

This is an online workshop about establishing connections, considering the why, the how and the what of engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who live and work locally.

Connecting to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities includes sharing stories and taking time to listen. We will share our experiences from our connections with Traditional Owners from across Queensland, and the benefits that we feel, both professionally and personally.

We will explore:

  • Connecting for the right reasons
  • Respectful engagement
  • Finding community connectors, internally and externally
  • Mutually beneficial relationships
