YFS seeks an experienced and passionate Manager – Connect and Financial Hub. This newly created position will be responsible for:

  • Managing the triage and first response through YFS Connect, and
  • Appointment based support through:

-          Money Smart financial capability;

-          Home energy use information and support; and

-          Financial Counselling including problem gambling. 

The successful applicant will understand the principles and practicalities of excellent community service delivery, and will have the skills and attributes to build a cohesive and high-performing team. 

In 2016/17, the Connect team responded to 11,600 community queries, and almost 8,000 of them were about housing and finances. We are looking for a Manager who can work with a multi-disciplinary team, encapsulating a variety of contract and professional responsibilities, but with a single focus. This focus is to provide an effective organisational response to the needs of people in Logan and surrounds who are experiencing poverty and disadvantage. 

A high degree of expertise in program and team development, and a detailed understanding of social justice issues are essential. Experience in managing in a community hub setting, and in financial capability or financial counselling will be highly regarded.
