Hinchinbrook Shire Council – Community Activity Grants

This program aims to help support local community groups with their events and functions. 

The objectives of the program are to: 
- Recognise the contribution to the development of community self-help and the provision of community services made by locally based non-profit groups and organisations. 
- Enable financial allocations to reflect the council's commitment to its community development role. 
- Provide encouragement to groups and organisations. 
- Ensure an equitable and consistent process. 

There are no set minimum and maximum funding limits, however acquittals are done based on these funding range:
- Less than $2,000
- Greater that $2,000 but less than $15,000
- Greater than $15,000

The 2017 closing dates are: 
- 31 October: For events between 1 January to 31 March 2018
- TBC: For events between 1 April to 30 June 2018
