Three Hour Session for Practitioners Family Inclusion Strategies in the Hunter (FISH) is a parent and worker co led organisation aimed at building a family inclusive child protection and out of home care system. This workshop will give participants the opportunity to reflect on current research and how we currently engage and include families. The voices of parent leaders from FISH who have experienced child removal and placement are an integral part of this workshop. Participants will do activities to develop ideas for practice change and program development that is family inclusive. At the end of this session participants will have identified a set of strategies that they can implement in their own setting to help build and promote family inclusion in child protection and out of home care and improve outcomes for children.
