Young Mothers for Young Women (YMYW), is an activity of Micah Projects, and provides a range of support services to young, pregnant and parenting women, their children and families. This includes early childhood responses from our Hawthorne based Hub. We have recently been licensed to operate an Occasional Childcare Service, providing flexible care to children aged birth to 5 years.
We are seeking an Educator to assist in the delivery of high-quality and flexible early childhood occasional childcare service that is responsive to the needs of individual children and their families. This position will also require work co-facilitating the YMYW supported playgroups for women 25 years and under, and their children 10 months – five years.
This is a fixed term, part time position for the period of the 9 month pilot (with the possibility to extend if funding is continued). The hours of work available are a minimum of 64 per fortnight, to be worked across the span of Monday - Friday. This position is classified under the Children’s Services Award 2010 – Children Services Employee Level 3
