To support the development of local dementia-friendly community activities, Dementia Australia is offering 20 grants of $15,000 each for Australian community and not for profit organisations to work on dementia-friendly projects. Grants will be administered via an expression of interest (EOI) process.
Up to twenty grants of $15,000 will be provided through this program. Funding will support activity until June 2019. Successful applicants will be provided with an initial payment of $10,000 with the remaining payment of $5,000 payable on submission of final status report deliverable.
Required outcomes include:
- Meaningful involvement of people living with dementia in all aspects of the project
- Engage and collaborate with the local Dementia Friendly Consumer Advisory Group where available.
- Engage and collaborate local partnerships that will support the dementia-friendly community initiative; such as local council, business, education and/or community organisations
- Provide final report of program outcomes and content for inclusion on DFC Resource Hub.
