What’s it all about?
Often the complexities of culture blocks our ability to explore ways of making meaning of the world and explore cultural concepts. We fear that our efforts may be misconstrued or seen as tokenistic.
This two hour session builds confidence and capability in understanding and embracing cultural complexities and exploring cultural concepts.'
- Explored steps to create a safe space for meaningful conversation - using provocation and questions to challenge the status quo.
- Critically reflected on where you (individuals, teams, organisations) are at in terms of your cultural integrity - setting simple 'next step' goals to work towards becoming more culturally competent.
To further extend participants learning we invite you to continue your journey through Yarn Up Tok Blo Yumi or the support of an experienced mentor. Call us for details.
I openly listened and built my awareness of other cultures – just being involved and talking with each other was great.- Participant, Intentional Yarn
This session really opened my eyes to different views, steps to take, and gave me knowledge and information to pass on to many educators.
