Brisbane Domestic Violence Service (BDVS) is a specialist domestic violence service for the Brisbane metropolitan region. The primary role of BDVS is to provide free and confidential services to women and children, partners in an intimate relationship and family members who are affected by domestic or family violence.
The objectives of this position are to:
- Support children impacted by domestic and family violence, to live free from violence and to assist with the emotional and practical needs and issues arising from their experience.
- Provide support to the primary carer, usually the mother, to assist their child/children with the emotional and practical needs and issues arising from their child’s experience.
This is a permanent, part time position with a minimum of 22.8 hours of work available per week and is classified under the SCHADS Award 2010 – Level 4.
